New York's Most Eligible Biglaw Bachelors

Feast your eyes upon some of Biglaw's best and brightest, and then vote for your favorite...

Earlier this year, when we mentioned lawyers’ love lives (or the lack thereof), we wrote that “[l]awyers may not lead the most luxurious of lifestyles, but if you’re single and looking, it’s still a profession that will make prospective dates ooh and aah.” In fact, “[m]ost people in the average dating pool think being a lawyer is a road to riches, thus making these eligible bachelors even more appealing.”

Some lawyers, though, really do have the full package — they’re handsome, well-educated, and filthy rich. To that end, Gotham Magazine is currently running its Most Eligible Bachelors competition, and as luck would have it, some influential attorneys made the list.

Feast your eyes upon some of Biglaw’s best and brightest, and then vote for your favorite…

There’s only one surprise about this list: there isn’t a single sexy Paul Weiss lawyer on it.

Before we present this roster of prestigious man meat, please keep in mind that not all of these eligible bachelors are currently practicing as attorneys. With that out of the way, check out the slate of lawyers put in the running by Gotham Magazine for the title of New York’s Most Eligible Bachelor (click to enlarge):

Here are some stats (firm, education, money) on the lawyers who are vying for your votes:

  • Nate Goralnik: He’s currently an associate at Quinn Emanuel who focuses on financial litigation and bankruptcy matters. According to Gotham Magazine, he’s “busy with a tough mission: suing Wall Street banks for wrongdoing related to the financial crisis.” This heroic hottie is a graduate of Brown University and Yale Law School. Goralnik likes to read poetry, and he’s bringing home more than $160,000 each year. Are you swooning over this guy yet? We definitely are.
  • Noble Black: He’s a senior vice president at Corcoran Group Real Estate, but in a past life, he was a securities law associate at Brobeck, and later at McKee Nelson (a firm that was gobbled up by Bingham McCutchen in 2009). Black graduated from Millsaps College and UVA Law School, but gave up law firm life because he wasn’t making enough money in Biglaw. Now, he’s got “more than half a billion in sales to his name.” Mmm, money apparently can buy happiness.
  • David Kravitz: He’s a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman, and focuses his practice on corporate matters (mergers and acquisitions in particular). Per Gotham Magazine, Kravitz is “[r]enowned for his legal smarts,” and his pedigree reflects his intelligence: he graduated from the University of Michigan and Penn Law. He’s from Ohio, so of course he spends his free time “[c]heering on LeBron at his neighborhood sports bar.” In 2013, partners at his firm brought home more than $1.3 million, on average. What a luxurious lifestyle this corporate cutie must lead.
  • Ronan Farrow: Not only does Farrow have his own television show, but he’s a “verified genius!” He graduated from Yale Law School, once interning at Davis Polk & Wardwell, the traditional home to many of New York’s hottest attorneys. He’s the highest-paid journalist in the world. The man has his own Wikipedia page, a famous family, and a $1.5 million bachelor pad. Need we say more?
