In the annals of legal marketing, a lawyer punching out a little kid is a new one (but let’s be honest, a welcome one).
Though that’s the odd premise of the latest ad from attorney Mike Slocumb, aka “The Alabama Hammer.”

AI Is Reshaping Legal Practice—But Tools Aren’t The Real Differentiator.
Explore the mindset, cultural shifts, and training strategies that define the AI‑savvy lawyer, revealing why human judgment, standardized competence, and integrated learning—not technology alone—will shape the future of the profession.
Sure, it was the Alabama Hammer’s more age-appropriate self who cold-cocked that bully, and, yes, the kid was kind of asking for it, taking lunch money from that poor girl. As an aside, does anyone ever really steal lunch money? It’s a staple of “The Bully” persona, but is there any truth behind it? When 60 Minutes does an alarmist piece on kids bullied into suicide, they rarely mention the systemic theft of $1.75/day. So where’s this lunch fixation coming from? These are important questions!
Anyway, Slocumb figured, “who doesn’t enjoy a bully getting jacked up,” so he slapped together this ad comparing insurance companies to 11-year-old kids. Or something.
By far, the highlight of the video is watching young Hammer hop around over his fallen prey like he’s Muhammad Ali and then magically morphing into an adult… who’s still so jazzed about knocking out an 11-year-old that he’s giddy about it 27 years later. Glory days well they’ll pass you by, glory days…
A tipster sent us this ad, declaring it comedy gold. He could not have been more wrong. Not that watching 2nd Period Smackdown isn’t entertaining, it’s just this isn’t even the best advertisement from the Alabama Hammer.

Exploding deer heads that rain cash guts? F**K YEAH!
Hey, Bambi! Maybe you’d still have a dad if he weren’t an insurance payout.
