Jury duty may not seem like your idea of a good time, but when Taylor Swift is in voir dire with you, well, your little dollop of civic duty just got a little more interesting.
That’s what happened in Nashville when T. Swift showed up for jury duty — I guess that was a part of the reason the pop singer was a no-show at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards.

But doing her part as America’s sweetheart, she was also happy to take selfies and sign autographs for fellow jurors. That’s a nice little perk for jury duty.
