Back to the pages of Washingtonian:
Lawyer Mike Naeve sold a three-bedroom, three-bath rowhouse on O Street in Georgetown for $1.8 million. Naeve, a partner at the law firm Skadden, specializes in energy law and litigation.
Perhaps he and his wife Cheryl are going to upgrade. Mike Naeve — his first name is actually “Clifford,” but he goes by “Mike” (and I don’t blame him) — is the head of Skadden’s energy practice and the head of the D.C. office. I’d expect such a big macher to live in a house worth at least $3 million.

The house doesn’t look that large from the outside. Here’s the street view (it’s the white house with the red door):
According to Redfin, the house has 2,800 finished square feet spread out over four floors. That’s a pretty small footprint.
In defense of the former Naeve house, what it might lack in square footage it makes up for in location. It’s at 34th and O Streets, in the heart of tony Georgetown.
And here’s one final deal from our friends at Washingtonian:

Lawyer Charles Ossola bought a two-bedroom, three-bath condo on 21st Street near Dupont Circle for $1.6 million. A trial lawyer, Ossola is a partner at Vinson & Elkins.
Ossola is an IP litigator, as you can see from his V&E bio. He joined the firm fairly recently, in October 2012, from Dickstein Shapiro. Congratulations to Chuck Ossola on his new homes, both personal and professional. Dupont Circle is another great neighborhood.
Some folks in Washington, especially lawyers for the federal government, are very stressed out these days. But based on these three real estate deals, it looks like the private practitioners are sitting pretty.
