This invitation is for McKool Smith’s New York holiday party. I did not receive the invite myself, but a tipster who did offered this commentary:
This invitation is really special, and really insane. I thought it was the 80s for a minute. Pictures don’t do it justice.
Alas, pictures are all we’ve got. Here’s the cover, promising “A Magical Evening by McKool Smith”:
Legal Is Changing. And NeoSummit Is Where The Future Is Being Built.
Legal and operational leaders are gathering May 6–7 in Fort Lauderdale to confront the questions the industry hasn't answered—with a keynote from Amanda Knox setting the tone.

Protégé™ In CourtLink® Explains The Whole Case Faster
Designed to reduce manual docket work by prioritizing what litigators need most: on-demand full docket summarization that explains the whole case to date, followed by on-demand document summaries for filing triage, and AI-powered natural language searching for faster search and retrieval.
Please note the bedazzling. And the fake quote on the left panel.
How much did these cost? People here have guessed $25 to $50 per invites. Postage alone for each of these was $3.09. And then what does a party at the New York Public Library in holiday season on a Saturday night cost?
Their bonuses better be good this year. I’d be pissed if my bonus money went to bedazzled invitations!
I’m guessing that McKool Smith bonuses will be strong. It sounds like the firm is on a roll, recently winning recognition from both Law360 and the National Law Journal as a top plaintiffs’ firm.
It seems that both Susman Godfrey and McKool Smith have a lot to celebrate this holiday season. If you’d like to tell us about your law firm’s holiday party — where and when it will take place, what the choice of venue says about how the firm is faring, and any other fun details — feel free to drop us a line (subject line “[Firm Name] Holiday Party”).
P.S. Today’s discussion of holiday party invites should not be confused with ATL’s annual law firm holiday card contest, which will get underway sometime next month. Keep an eye out for the contest launch.
