This bonus season started out fast and furious, with a handful of firms racing to match the Simpson Thacher scale, but as days continue to pass, we’ve been left wanting. Where is all the bonus news? These Biglaw firms are making ATL’s editors — as well as their own associates — very sad. Show us the money!
Last year at about this time, Sullivan & Cromwell announced its bonuses, and we’re still patiently waiting to see if the firm that once made everyone smile with a mention of spring bonuses will beat the market. In the meantime, we’ve got news of yet another firm that matched the Simpson bonus scale for 2014. Who is it this time?
White & Case emailed out its year-end bonus memo yesterday, with news that individual bonus decisions for those eligible would be relayed in January, with a payout date in early February for those who were in good standing with the firm.
Here’s the good news: “high achieving” associates who “substantially exceeded expectations” may get some extra bonus bucks to line their wallets. Congrats, overachievers! You managed to turn those sleepless nights into cold hard cash.
That’s a wrap on today’s bonus news (thus far). If we missed your firm’s bonus announcement, be sure to email us or text us (646-820-8477). And remember, we appreciate memos, so please send one if you can. Thanks!
