He’s won two straight “lock games” (where no competitor can catch him in Final Jeopardy as long as he doesn’t Cliff Clavin himself) and guns for his third match tonight. Meet Sean Anderson, a law professor at University of Illinois College of Law and your reigning Jeopardy champion.
Professor Anderson teaches Employee Benefits which means every day he continues on the show improves the chances that Trebek will be forced into a rousing discussion about various ERISA provisions, so stay tuned for that scintillating chat. They don’t make TV better than How To Get Away With A Distress Termination.
Apparently, we had a chance to see an edgier Anderson on the show:

AI can accelerate document review, but metrics alone aren't enough. Learn how Managing Attorney oversight turns AI-driven review into a more adaptive, strategic and defensible process.
Before heading out, a friend offered some advice. He suggested Sean imitate comedian Darrell Hammond portraying Sean Connery in a “Celebrity Jeopardy” sketch on “Saturday Night Live” who in a thick Scottish brogue, slings such insults as “Trebek, you bastard” at Will Ferrell, who portrays the host.
“I did not take that advice,” Sean said.
Hopefully what he means by not taking that advice is that he instead breaks into Norm MacDonald’s Burt Reynolds character.
To date, Anderson has won $48,300 on the show. It doesn’t hurt that he’s beating up on some weak competition. In his first, game the returning champ didn’t even qualify for Final Jeopardy. Then his only remaining opponent got a little too literal when identifying a flower whose name is a derogatory term for liberals:

Then Sean followed up that performance by taking on a guy named Tom who became a social media sensation for looking like an Abercrombie model and offering this for Final Jeopardy:

Good luck, Professor. May they keep sending in the scrubs against you.
It’s finally his turn to ask the questions [The News-Gazette]
