We’ve had some great legal Super Bowl commercials over the years. Jamie Casino’s heavy metal masterpiece remains the gold standard for over-the-top Super Bowl theatrics. The Texas Law Hawk got into the act this year with a Taco Bell ad.
But you’ve got to respect this entry from St. Louis lawyer Terry Crouppen of Brown & Crouppen, who bought ad time in St. Louis to tee off on Stan Kroenke, the miserable plutocrat who owns the Rams, who recently announced that they’re leaving St. Louis for Los Angeles — the city they skipped out on like a ten-dollar whore two decades ago. Despite the fact that three current NFL teams have called Los Angeles home and every damn one of them fled the city when they figured out no one in L.A. cares about pro football, Kroenke opted to give it another go after bilking the city of St. Louis for millions of dollars because the key to being a billionaire is shamelessly forcing taxpayers to fund your enterprise.
As C. Montgomery Burns put it aptly: “Welcome to the American dream: a billionaire using public funds to construct a private playground for the rich and powerful.” Indeed.
Legal Is Changing. And NeoSummit Is Where The Future Is Being Built.
Legal and operational leaders are gathering May 6–7 in Fort Lauderdale to confront the questions the industry hasn't answered—with a keynote from Amanda Knox setting the tone.
In any event, Crouppen isn’t pleased:
Smooth tie to personal injury law with that call for justice. Well played.
