Harsh Message From Law School Right In The Middle Of Finals

This law school has a line item in its library budget just for trolling its students.

library tears cryingYes, it’s the most dreaded time of year — at least for law students. While grown-up lawyers are enjoying the mild spring weather (well, for the 15 minutes it takes for them to go buy lunch), law students are busy prepping for finals. Nothing like a few tests that will completely determine your future employment prospects.

So people are stressed because obviously… and sure, maybe there are the occasional tears. But that’s normal, right? Again, these are incredibly important tests and the school is crawling with gunners eager to prove just how much they know (and correspondingly, just how little you know).

At Hofstra Law, they have taken the ball of stress and emotion that many law students become and made a harsh, but funny, policy out of it.

This picture was brought to our attention last night (h/t @danielschwartz):

Hofstra Sign

Eagle-eyed readers may remember a similar sign at Minnesota Law last finals period, but Hofstra has really taken it to another level. This isn’t some simple printout taped to a wall, this is a nice, big, laminated sign on a stand. Hofstra clearly has a line item in its library budget just for trolling its students. That’s an expense we can get behind.

Though perhaps it isn’t the poor law students sobbing between the stacks; after all, Hofstra Law is said to have ghosts roaming the halls.
