Trivia Question of the Day

Do You Know Where A Legal Loophole Comes From?

When you must find a loophole...

Answer: The term comes from the Middle English loupe, or opening in a wall. Loophole originally meant the small openings in castle walls from which archers would shoot their arrows. Seen as the only outlet from something seemingly impenetrable, it came to mean a means of escape, including from a legal instrument.
