Troubling news out of Michigan, where authorities report a deadly shooting took the lives of two bailiffs and put a deputy sheriff in the emergency room with a gunshot wound. The suspect was subsequently killed.
Berrien County Sheriff Paul Bailey confirmed at a Monday press conference that two court bailiffs were killed and the suspect, an unidentified man, was shot and killed by police.
Bailey said the shooting happened about 2:25 p.m. when a “disturbance” occurred on the third floor of the courthouse.
Reports suggest the suspect took the deputy’s gun. Further details will be released later.
