Congratulations to the three lawyers who will join the partnership of Willkie Farr & Gallagher, effective January 1:
- Elliot J. Gluck: Currently counsel in the Asset Management Group, Gluck is based in New York. He graduated from Yeshiva University (1999) and Fordham Law (2004).
- Jennifer Hardy: An associate in the Business Reorganization and Restructuring Department, Hardy works out of Houston. She’s a graduate of UT (2003) and NYU Law (2007).
- Carly Glover Saviano: Saviano is an associate in Willkie’s real estate practice. She is based in New York and graduated from Lafayette College (2002) and UVA Law (2007).
We’ve been paying attention to the diversity of new partner classes at top firms, and we commend Willkie for the strong representation of women in this trio. It’s a marked contrast from the partner classes of 2016 (one woman in a class of five), 2015 (zero women in a class of nine), and 2014 (one woman in a class of eight).

And in news that should surprise absolutely no one, Willkie matched the Cravath bonus scale this morning. Bonuses will be paid on December 21 — a Wednesday, but “consistent with our customary practices,” per the memo from the Executive Committee.
“We are all working very, very hard,” said a source, “but everyone is happy with flat bonuses given the bump in base salaries.”
When your firm’s bonus memo comes out, please email it to us (subject line: “[Firm Name] Bonus”). We always keep our sources on bonus stories anonymous. There’s no need to send the memo using your firm email account; your personal email account is fine. Please be sure to include the memo as proof; we like to post complete bonus memos as a service to our readers. You can take a photo of the memo and attach as a picture if you are worried about metadata in a PDF or Word file. You can also text us if you prefer, at 646-820-8477.
If you’d like to sign up for ATL’s Bonus Alerts, please scroll down and enter your email address in the box below this post. If you previously signed up for the bonus alerts, you don’t need to do anything. You’ll receive an email notification within minutes of each bonus announcement that we publish. Thanks!

The Hidden Threat: How Fake Identities used by Remote Employees Put Your Business at Risk—and How to Defend Against This
Based on our experience in recent client matters, we have seen an escalating threat posed by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) information technology (IT) workers engaging in sophisticated schemes to evade US and UN sanctions, steal intellectual property from US companies, and/or inject ransomware into company IT environments, in support of enhancing North Korea’s illicit weapons program.
