Of Course It’s Legal For Cops To Murder Black People

It's not illegal for cops to kill black people.

Charlotte District Attorney Andrew Murray announced today that no charges will be filed against the officers who gunned down Keith Lamont Scott. “It is my opinion that Officer [Brentley] Vinson acted lawfully when he shot Mr. Scott,” Murray said.

No s**t. Of course you think he acted “lawfully.” IT’S NOT ILLEGAL FOR COPS TO KILL BLACK PEOPLE. I think we all know that now.

Officers claim Scott had a gun, and now Murray claims that there is surveillance footage of Scott with his weapon at some time before he was shot dead. We know that the Second Amendment does not apply to black people. We know that black man + gun + police = “lawfully” dead Negro in every jurisdiction in this country.

Nevermind that Scott’s wife was pleading and begging with the police, trying to make them understand that her husband posed no threat. We know that the black man has no rights that the police are bound to respect. If that phrasing sounds familiar to you, it’s because I’m cribbing it… from the Dred Scott decision. WHICH SEEMS APPROPRIATE.

We know that black people suffer state-sponsored terrorism at the hands of the police. We know that we are hunted. We know that white people are generally cool with letting their attack dogs walk around, off leash, ready to kill any black person who steps out of line. We know that black cops are no better. We know blue is thicker than blood.

We know that even if prosecutors had brought charges, you wouldn’t be able to find 12 people in Charlotte willing to convict a cop for murder. Not on these facts. If you want to convict a cop for murdering black people in this country, he best look into the camera and say, “I’m going to murder this n***er. PLEASE WATCH.” Otherwise, benefit of the doubt goes to the cops.

And we know that things are not going to get any better, as over 60 million Americans just decided to hand the country over to white supremacists.

If this all sounds entirely depressing to you, well, you are probably white. You have the “white privilege” of DEPRESSION.

I’m not depressed, I’m angry and terrified. I just sent my two black sons to school. I just had to send them out into a world patrolled by your terrorists. The eldest is four. He is unarmed. We don’t even let him play with water guns, because we know how you people are.

Will they come back to me, safe and sound? I don’t know.

But I do know that IF the police gun down my babies in the street, those cops will not be held accountable for their actions. I KNOW THAT.

I am not surprised that the cop who shot Keith Lamont Scott escaped prosecution. In the war against black people, his actions were, obviously, legal.
