ATL Law Firm Rankings: The Office 100

You work in an office, not a firm.

atl-2017-law-firm-rankings-office-100-1Everybody wants to know which law firm is the “best,” and we try to capture that every year with our “Power 100” law firm rankings. Check out the 2017 list, here.

It’s fun to think of firms as the giant behemoths they are, but people don’t really work at a “firm.” They work in an office. And each office has its own quirks, its own strengths, and its own security protocol to prevent people from jumping out of the window.

The Office 100 rankings try to capture that. And while, sure, these rankings suggest that working for Kirkland anywhere is better than working for Skadden everywhere, there are more granular questions that prospective first-years are asking themselves. Are you better off at Quinn Emanuel, L.A. or Boies Schiller, NY? [Survey says: Quinn.] Jones Day seems ascendant right now, but would you rather be at Jones Day in D.C., or Latham Watkins in D.C.? [Survey says: Latham.]

So check out our office rankings. A law firm is not a monolith, and some offices are better than others.
