Senator Chuck Schumer recently said he’d work to block any potential Trump Supreme nominee outside of the “mainstream” and referenced the would-be justice’s opinion on which two SCOTUS cases as key to determining if they were “mainstream”?

Hint: Careful not to call it a “litmus test,” Schumer indicated these cases provide good insight to the jurist. These are definitely cases you’d have read in law school.
