Go-to Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, who got then-Governor Rick Perry out of two felony indictments and scored a mega-verdict against BP, can now safely beat whatever “first date from hell” story you might have after his involved destroying hundreds of thousands of dollars in classic art.
Buzbee, who started out at Susman Godfrey before striking out on his own, had freelance court reporter Lindy Lou Layman, 29, over at his multi-million dollar mansion for a first date when he claims things went awry:
Buzbee told police he called Layman an Uber after she became intoxicated, the news station reported, after which she refused to leave and hid inside the home.
The suspect allegedly tore down two original Andy Warhol paintings each worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, the news station reported. Police said she also poured some sort of liquid on some of the paintings.
