So, in front of a classroom, the judge says “rooms full of big dark people” make her uncomfortable. That is not a good thing to feel. But, hey, at least she’s honest. And she doesn’t say “and so I would always rule against the dark people because, screw them.” By acknowledging the unreasonable fear, she’s arguably in a better position to work through it and not let it affect her judgement than some other person who has the same issue but can’t articulate it.
