We all know there are problems in legal education, but few people seem to agree on what they are. Above the Law is generally on board with blaming schools for pumping out more lawyers than America needs at wildly inflated prices, but not everyone is on board with that.

Following a panel discussion on the subject at the recent ABA Midyear meeting, the Legal Talk Network sat down with Kyle McEntee, Law School Transparency founder and Above the Law’s 2010 Lawyer of the Year; Rachel Van Cleave, former dean and professor of law at Golden Gate University; and, CJ Ryan, an American Bar Foundation doctoral fellow who studies Policy and Legal Issues in Higher Education, to discuss the rising cost of law school, including what’s driving the price to rise and what makes this a complicated issue to change.
