Interviewing While Pregnant Might Just Be A Great Idea

What would you think if you were interviewing a pregnant woman?

My attitude toward it was kind of like, if they’re not interested in looking at the long-term when they’re meeting me and all they can see is a pregnant woman and they don’t want to work with me, then that is not a place I want to work.

— Kristen Jarvis Johnson, the former Biglaw associate who caused a media firestorm when she quit her job at Squire Patton Boggs and took to Reddit to complain about the “blatant gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and a very clear glass ceiling” at the firm, tells Law.com why interviewing for a new job while pregnant was a great strategy for her. She now works at Taylor & Associates, a firm that hired her when she was seven months pregnant.
