Lindsay Lohan Punks Harvard Law School

April Fools'!

So… yesterday was April Fools’ Day. Did you fall for any pranks?

Maybe a family member tried to serve you a fake brownie during Easter dinner? Or maybe you believed the Bachelor couple was really pregnant? Or perhaps you really thought Harvard Law went full on populist and asked Lindsay Lohan to speak at their graduation ceremony?

That was the message Lohan posted on social media yesterday (complete with a snapchat crown of flowers, natch). Touting her work at Lawyer.com as the impetus behind the invite, she “revealed” she’d been asked by Harvard Law School to speak at graduation.

“I’m really really honored, and I couldn’t be happier. My work with Lawyer.com has finally paid off. Who needs Hollywood when you have Harvard Law! Ahh!”

We know the importance of picking graduation speakers that will get the student body excited. But generally, the ranks of law school graduation speakers are littered with judges and politicians and law firm partners… washed-up child actors shilling for an attorney referral service generally don’t have the chops to pull off that gig.

La Lohan also posted videos saying Cambridge and Oxford asked for her wise words. If you thought it was possible, merely unlikely that Harvard Law wanted Lohan to speak at their school, when these prestigious institutions all have the same ask on the same day — well, it stretches credulity. As we’ve all surmised by now, Cady Heron is not making the rounds at elite universities. In a statement to Jezebel, Harvard said “There is no factual basis for that claim.”

Which makes a lot more sense than the alternative.
