Hero Lawyer Arrested For Picking Up Immigrants

If you can piss off border agents, you're doing something right.

A 71-year-old Texas lawyer was observed picking up two hitchhikers. The hitchhikers said that they were immigrants who paid a smuggler $2,500 to get across the border, but were abandoned as soon as they crossed the Rio Grande. The passengers asked the lawyer to take them to San Antonio, but the lawyer said he couldn’t take them that far but would drive them as far North as he could.

An off-duty Border Patrol agent observed what he believed to be two undocumented immigrants getting into the lawyer’s car, and alerted his fellow Gestapo operatives. Other Border Patrol agents later arrested all three of them. From the Texas Lawyer:

According to a criminal complaint affidavit obtained by The San Antonio Express-News, an off-duty Border Patrol agent was traveling north on U.S. 83 near Cotulla when he reported seeing two men he believed to be undocumented immigrants get into 71-year-old Armando Treviño’s Toyota sport-utility vehicle.

Other Border Patrol agents from the Cotulla station later pulled over Treviño’s vehicle. Treviño and his two passengers were arrested by the agents after they learned his passengers were from Honduras and that Treviño was a U.S. citizen, according to the criminal complaint affidavit.

Picking up hitchhikers in need near the borders of our tyrannical polity and trying to help them to safety is now REQUIRED of those who would consider themselves “good” people. Risking the inherent danger of picking up freaking hitchhikers near the border, should you happen upon them, has gone from an act of reckless stupidity to a moral imperative.

Getting arrested by Border Patrol, or ICE, is a BADGE OF HONOR. In 10 years, I don’t think progressives should vote for anybody for high office UNLESS they can show that they were arrested by Trump forces during these dark times.

They can’t arrest us all, not if we ALL do it.
