Does anyone else feel like this judge is a bit of a diva?
— Asha Rangappa of CNN on U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III’s comments in court yesterday. Ellis, who is presiding over the trial of Paul Manafort, told prosecutor Greg Andres, “I understand how frustrated you are. In fact, there’s tears in your eyes right now.’’ Former U.S. attorney Harry Litman called it an “advanced case of black robe fever.” Judge Ellis has gotten attention earlier in the trial for calling out lawyers on both sides for their facial expressions.
