Skadden Counsel Tagged In Mueller Probe

Skadden's involvement in Ukraine generates new legal woes.

Greg Craig

In Police Academy 7: Mission To Moscow, the sad hangers-on from the first barely above average movie aid the Russian government in fighting the security threat posed by Tetris. That’s… actually the plot. In any event, the bumbling hijinks that transpire bear a shocking resemblance to Skadden’s now infamous work providing cover for the Russian-backed Ukrainian government that coasted to power on the back of widespread voter fraud.

Skadden associate Alex van der Zwaan has already pleaded guilty. Counsel Greg Craig, Obama’s former White House Counsel, mysteriously left the firm, and now we know that Mueller referred the case against Craig for potentially operating as an unregistered foreign lobbyist to the S.D.N.Y. months ago.

While the S.D.N.Y. managed to keep mum on the Craig case until now, that’s no reason to believe they aren’t interested in it. A couple months is hardly any time at all in the lifespan of a federal prosecution, especially one that overlaps so many other inquiries.

Regardless, this news, along with news that Dem power player Tony Podesta got the same referral should finally put a stop to Trump’s whining that Mueller is only snagging Republicans lending an improper helping hand to Putin’s interests.
