Scalia, third son of the late Justice Antonin Scalia and senior counsel at Pillsbury, commenting on the 8½ foot, bronze sculpture of his father that now stands in the center of the atrium of the George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School. Scalia wore one of his father’s robes and posed for sculptor Greg Wyatt to help him personalize the near-replica statue of the justice. When the final sculpture was unveiled, Scalia said it “gave him chills” because all the correct details were there, right down to the way his father wore his tie. Five Supreme Court justices — Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justices Samuel A. Alito Jr., Elena Kagan, Clarence Thomas, and Neil Gorsuch — attended the unveiling ceremony at the school.
