Christmas came just a little bit early for associates at Holland & Knight. As Law.com reports, the firm gave out associate raises this fall. The Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Mid-Atlantic, New York and California offices moved over to $190,000 as a starting salary, with senior associates getting a raise although at an undisclosed amount. Miami associates also saw starting salaries raise, to $180,000.
As managing partner Steven Sonberg notes, they had to move salaries up to maintain their competitiveness in the market:
“Associate salaries at many law firms have increased over the last few months,” Holland & Knight Managing Partner Steven Sonberg said in an email. “In response to these changes, Holland & Knight recently adjusted its compensation structure to ensure that it remains competitive and properly rewards its associates for their contribution.”
