Alleged Law Student Arrested On Grand Larceny Charges

Somebody doesn't seem to know how law school works.

This isn’t the best way to begin your career as a law student, but at least her mugshot looks more like a law firm headshot.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, Elizabeth Yadgarova, 21, was arrested and arraigned late last month on some pretty serious charges after she allegedly stole a credit card, watch, and bracelet from a purse that was forgotten by a gymgoer at Lifetime Fitness in Syosset, a town on the North Shore of Long Island. Per the intrepid reporting of the New York Post, Yadgarova refers to herself as a law student and makeup artist on her Instagram account.

By her age alone, if Yadgarova really is a law student, she may be a 1L. Here are some details on Yadgarova’s alleged criminal activities, straight from the Nassau County PD:

The victim returned to Lifetime Fitness and located her purse. She discovered a credit card, watch and bracelet were missing.

Two (2) fraudulent charges were made on the victim’s credit card within Roosevelt Field Mall.

A thorough investigation led to the arrest of Elizabeth Yadgarova…. The victim’s watch and bracelet were recovered at the time of her arrest.

Yadgarova was charged with two counts of fourth degree grand larceny, two counts of second degree identity theft, and second degree forgery. She’s hired a private attorney, and will next appear in court later this week. If she’s into criminal defense, she may be able to land herself an internship thanks to her run-in with the wrong side of the law.
