Latest Intapp Acquisition Brings More Client Lifecycle Capabilities Into One Place

The third major merger in the last year for Intapp.

There are few acquisitions that could provide a better hook for explaining Intapp’s whole philosophy than yesterday’s deal with OnePlace. For a company oriented around the power of collaboration and engaged in a strategy of integrating disparate solutions into a single platform across a professional organization, an entity literally named “OnePlace” is almost too perfect.

Intapp has already brought DealCloud and gwabbit under its umbrella, adding their specific skills to its professional industry cloud. OnePlace, a seven year old company offering cloud-based marketing solutions, will slide into Intapp’s existing client management offerings, building “an integrated client lifecycle solution for the front office that enables seamless collaboration across the firm and its partners and business services teams; from strategy to origination and execution.”

OnePlace was known for its ability to visualize relationships held against a company and contact. The map it provided showed the obvious personal relationships but also tracked board relationships and previous employer information and topped it off with filters allowing users to drill down to only certain types of relationships. This obviously jives well with Intapp. As OnePlace CEO Tim Smith put it, “At its core, this acquisition will deliver a single, reliable source of truth for client and prospect knowledge to our combined customer roster.”

It’s all about putting everything in one place.
