Hey, it’s Juneteenth. If you don’t know what that is, I hate you.
To be honest, I haven’t felt much like having a freedom jubilee these past couple of years. Juneteenth is always supposed to be about continuing the unfinished work of liberation, but during the Trump era, that work seems so very “unfinished.”

Oh dear. Slave chain-breaking clipart is probably NOT the way I would have gone. Like, we all get what they’re going for but… “Come be free of the SHACKLES OF BONDAGE at our soulless corporate breakfast” just doesn’t hit the right note here.
At least they’re trying. I wish Joe Biden had gone to the Kirkland breakfast for Juneteenth, instead of praising his own ability to be friends with segregationists.
