Stat Of The Week: Law Departments Focusing On Diversity
Implementing D&I programs is the top 2021 priority, according to CLOC’s annual survey.
Implementing a diversity and inclusion program has shifted from priority No. 5 out of seven categories in 2020 to priority No. 1 this year for corporate law departments, according to the annual State of the Industry report from the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium.
Six in 10 respondents ranked this category as a high priority to secure the top spot, followed by automating legal processes and implementing new technology solutions.
The survey also revealed growth in legal spending, a continued increase in legal ops headcount, and that many law departments are looking to implement formal law firm reviews.
