Another Link In The Associate Raise Chain
An afternoon raise to leave Tuesday on a high note.
Is that a better headline than “Associate Raises Come Sooner Rather Than Later”? I thought playing off the “link” would be easier than off the “laters.” I suppose there could be an “Adventures of Link…laters” play for the Nintendo heads out there. Maybe jokes about the Ocarina of Timekeeping?
Look, clearly I was just stalling so there’s enough column space that the picture didn’t interfere with the chart. We should be there now so we don’t need to keep wasting time riffing on lawyers Zeldalously representing their clients anymore.
Linklaters added its name to the 2021 salary match scrolls with a memo sent around to US associates this afternoon.
Is The Future Of Law Distributed? Lessons From The Tech Adoption Curve
Comp Year | Annual Base Pay |
2021 | $202,500 |
2020 | $205,000 |
2019 | $215,000 |
2018 | $240,000 |
2017 | $275,000 |
2016 | $305,000 |
2015 | $330,000 |
2014 | $350,000 |
2013 | $365,000 |
It’s a fairly spartan memo — just two sentences and the chart. These people know what the associates want to see.
And apparently it’s not a lot of unnecessary framing before getting to the numbers.
Hm… I feel attacked there.
