After 70 Years At Weil, This Senior Partner Is Most Proud Of Helping RBG Become An Appellate Judge
An amazing accomplishment indeed.

I am particularly proud that many firm partners acted to support the career of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the wife of the late Marty Ginsburg, former well-known head of Weil’s premier tax department.
I knew through my practice several Senate Republicans, including Orrin Hatch of Utah, chair of the judiciary committee, and arranged for the senator to have lunch with myself and Ruth Bader Ginsburg before the judiciary committee advanced her nomination to become a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia in 1980. I like to think I played a small part in helping the Ginsburgs navigate the arduous process of getting to the nation’s highest court. I am most proud of the fact that the firm and my partners are proud too.
