Good News For Associates As Goodwin Matches Salary Hike

The train keeps rolling.

Big pile of cash money and some gold coinsThe Milbank salary increase — which is more accurately “the latest Milbank salary increase” because Milbank’s always the vanguard on associate compensation — continues to ripple through the ranks of Biglaw.

Now it’s Goodwin, which just announced a full match of what’s becoming the new normal for Biglaw salaries. As a refresher, here’s what Goodwin associates are now looking at:

Class New Salary
Class of 2021 $215K
Class of 2020 $225K
Class of 2019 $250K
Class of 2018 $285K
Class of 2017 $325K
Class of 2016 $350K
Class of 2015 $370K
Class of 2014+ $385K

January pay will reflect the old scale, but February will see a retroactive bump to this new scale.

Bonuses, announced back in December, will hit direct deposit on January 25.
