Top 20 Biglaw Firm Wows Associates With Raises
Firm really gets associates where it counts -- the wallet.
The Biglaw salary wars have been going nigh on a month. But, given the rapid pace at which the big players are now making compensation announcements, stasis may finally be reached,
Weil Gotshal, which made $1,657,603,000 in gross revenue in 2020, making it 17 on the Am Law 100, delighted associates today with raises. As expected, the elite law firm will be matching the scale Davis Polk announced earlier this week.
That means associates at Weil will be paid according to the following scale:

| 2021 | $215,000 |
| 2020 | $225,000 |
| 2019 | $250,000 |
| 2018 | $293,500 |
| 2017 | $335,000 |
| 2016 | $360,500 |
| 2015 | $381,000 |
| 2014 | $396,500 |
And like many of their peer firms, the raises will be retroactive to January 1 and will hit bank accounts in March. Read the full memo on the next page.
