Yet Another Biglaw Firm Matches Cravath, And Associates Are Thrilled

'It's a miracle,' said one associate.

Cash BackgroundAssociates at some firms are getting pretty anxious. Almost everyone else has heard about raises. What could the hold-up possibly be? Don’t worry,  your raise (of some sort) is probably on the way, so just keep waiting patiently… if you think you can, that is.

Speaking of raises, it looks like Baker Botts, a firm that came in at No. 64 in the most recent Am Law 100, has finally decided to weigh in during the latest round of salary wars. What’ll it be? It’s a Cravath match! “It’s a miracle,” said one source who apparently thought this day would never come.

This is what the new salary scale looks like at Baker Botts:

These salary hikes are retroactive not to January 1, but March 1, and associates are pretty ticked off about it. Nonetheless, congrats to everyone at the firm.
