Judge Judy To Keynote Law School's First In-Person Graduation Ceremony In 3 Years

My return to New York Law School to celebrate three classes of graduates, to present a degree to my granddaughter and to receive an honorary degree from my daughter represents the capstone of my career which began over a half century ago. Grateful is an understatement.
— Judge Judy Sheindlin, in a statement given following the announcement that she would be delivering the keynote address at New York Law School’s 2022 commencement ceremony. This is the law school’s first in-person commencement ceremony in three years due to the pandemic, and graduates from the classes of 2020 and 2021, who had virtual graduations, will now be able to receive their degrees as their relatives watch. Sheindlin, a 1965 alumnus, will receive her second honorary degree from NYLS from her daughter, Nicole Sheindlin (’93), and will also present her granddaughter, Sarah Rose (’22), with her law degree.
