Day by day and one by one, Biglaw firms have been announcing their assimilation to the $215K-$415K salary scale, which has turned into a must-have for firms that wish to hold onto their cherished designation as members of the law firm “elite.”
Which is the latest Biglaw firm to do so?
Willkie Farr — a firm that brought in $986,000,000 gross revenue in 2020, making it #44 on the Am Law 100 — is raising its salaries yet again. The firm last made a salary move back in February, when it adopted the Davis Polk salary scale as its own. Now, the firm is matching the prevailing market compensation rate: the Cravath scale. Here’s what that looks like at Willkie:
The new salary scale at Willkie goes into effect on March 31, and will be retroactive to January 1. Congratulations to everyone at the firm!
