Quinn Emanuel Representing Ukraine Against Russia

Biglaw tackling the human rights crisis.

ukraine-g6db170881_1920The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has appointed Quinn Emanuel to act as counsel to Ukraine in proceedings against Russia at the European Court of Human Rights.

After weeks of stories focusing on Biglaw firms trying to have their Russian Honey Cakes and eat them too, it’s encouraging to see the arsenal of Biglaw lining up behind Ukraine (or MORE of the Biglaw arsenal lining up — we’ve already seen firms offer pro bono resources and donation matching).

London office co-managing partner Alex Gerbi and partner Julianne Hughes Jennett will helm the case with assistance from teams led by Timothy Otty QC of Blackstone Chambers and Guglielmo Verdirame QC from Twenty Essex Street.

John Quinn interviews his partners tackling this case on the latest episode of his podcast Law, disrupted.
