In this episode, I welcome Kellie Johnson, the city of Oakland’s Enforcement Chief of the Public Ethics Commission and former Oregon Deputy District Attorney. Kellie shares the very unique reason why she decided to go to law school to how other people around her helped and guided her, despite the hardship of women and people of color studying the law. She also talks about how her interest in international policies shifted to criminal and prosecution and how she became the first African American Assistant District Attorney (ADA) in Eugene. Additionally, Kellie discusses what she thinks the changes should be in the world of law and how to keep other people invested in the profession.
