Answer: More than half of respondents (57%) said they believe first-year compensation at their firm is inappropriate, with 27% saying it’s too high, and 30% saying it’s too low. Seventy-six percent of those who said first-years were overcompensated tied it to their level of experience and expertise (or lack thereof).
