That title might sound like a relatively light charge, but the relevant NY penal code provision includes “intentionally us[ing] any computer communication system… to initiate or engage in such communication with a person who is a minor, and by means of such communication… intentionally importunes, invites or induces a minor to engage in sexual intercourse, oral sexual conduct or anal sexual conduct, or sexual contact….”
