As federal borrowing caps tighten financing options for law students, one organization is stepping in to negotiate the terms they can't secure alone.
Hint: Shkreli paid $2 million for the exclusive album in 2015. However, he’s had a heap of legal problems since then. The DOJ seized his assets to cover his debts and, in 2021, he sold the album to PleasrDAO for $4 million. Included in PleasrDAO’s purchase was the exclusive right to play the audio tracks and to exploit the recordings as well as the copyrights. In 2022, Shkreli revealed he retained digital copies of the album, resulting in litigation by PleasrDAO and the current preliminary injunction.
