Former Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, in a passage written in his upcoming memoir, “Life, Law and Liberty” (affiliate link) set to be published on October 14. Kennedy, who stepped down from the high court in 2018, often found himself at the center of the nation’s most polarizing issues, ranging from abortion to gay rights to campaign finance.
