How many times will he have to take the bar exam before he finally passes?

It’s kind of like torturing yourself.

Samuel Goldstein, a 2013 graduate of Arizona Summit Law School, commenting on the fact that he’s taken and failed the bar exam six times in two different jurisdictions in the last five years. Goldstein has taken the California bar exam five times and the Illinois bar exam once (he heard it was easier to pass there). He intends to continue taking the bar exam until he passes. Goldstein has accrued $285,000 in student loans thanks to his law degree.
