As you may have guessed, this post is about Goodwin Procter, who is joining the ranks of the $190K salary scale with an announcement moments ago. It’s a full match, including summer bonuses and an adjustment to summer associate salaries.
This certainly isn’t surprising, but it’s nice to let the associates know before they sweat out another weekend wondering.
The best news in the memo may be for counsel — the often overlooked attorneys in a salary bonanza. Goodwin’s memo doesn’t lay out salaries at that level, but promises more news in the very near future. Kudos to Goodwin for taking the time to let these senior attorneys know they are still appreciated. And even though the new numbers didn’t arrive with the counsel figures, Goodwin pledges to make any change effective July 1 as well.
Keeping Law School Accessible When Federal Loans Fall Short
As federal borrowing caps tighten financing options for law students, one organization is stepping in to negotiate the terms they can't secure alone.
How do we get all these scoops? It’s you. So when your firm matches, please text us (646-820-8477) or email us (subject line: “[Firm Name] Raises Salaries”). Please include the memo if available. You can take a photo of the memo and send it via text or email if you don’t want to forward the original PDF or Word file.
And if you’d like to sign up for ATL’s Bonus Alerts (which is the alert list we’ll also use for salary announcements), please scroll down and enter your email address in the box below this post. If you previously signed up for the bonus alerts, you don’t need to do anything. You’ll receive an email notification within minutes of each bonus announcement that we publish. Thanks!
