Spill It, Sip It: Let’s Talk Tea With RBG

The pop culture judicial icon enters the world of hot tea.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has become an icon for young feminists everywhere, and she’s so inspiring that people have created clothing lines and
greeting cards in her image. Others have invited the Supreme diva to their wedding, dressed their children up as RBG for Halloween, and gotten themselves
inked and
manicured in her honor. The octogenarian justice is so captivating that “RBG,” the documentary based on her life, has been classified as a
“summer box office avenger,” raking in $13,582,985 thus far. As if all that weren’t enough, FCTRY’s Kickstarter campaign to produce Ruth Bader Ginsburg action figures was the most successful in the company’s history, raising $613,700. What more could Americans possibly want from the Notorious RBG?

How about all the tea on the Supreme Court?

Don’t be silly. Justice Ginsburg isn’t a gossip — after all, she “respect[s] all of [her] colleagues and genuinely like[s] … most of them.” No, we’re talking about the new RBG-inspired lemon green tea that will soon be made available from The Teabook.

Why is The Teabook using our beloved Justice Ginsburg as the inspiration for its next collection of fine teas? Because “[s]he has protected the rights of oppressed people in the United States, and is a champion of American values and equality.”

The Teabook’s Indiegogo campaign for RBG Tea will launch sometime in September, so it’ll be a month before you can celebrate “truth, justeas, and the American way.” Stay tuned for further updates on when the RBG tea party will begin.

P.S. Since we know how much our readers love the Notorious one, click here for details on how to enter to win a prize pack of RBG swag to commemorate her documentary’s digital release ahead of Blu-ray and DVD sales later this month.
