NEW YORK, April 23, 2026 — Lucio AI, the legal intelligence workspace built for modern law firms, has opened its first US office in New York City, formalizing its presence in a market where the company already serves a fast-growing roster of American law firms.
The New York office, located in the Financial District, will house Lucio’s product, customer success and GTM teams and serve as the hub for partnerships and product development in North America. The move follows a year of rapid US growth, with Lucio now working with clients across major US cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Demand from US firms has consistently outpaced internal forecasts, and the New York base is designed to keep up with it.
Lucio’s expansion comes at a time when the US legal AI market is rapidly consolidating around a small number of highly visible, well-capitalized platforms such as Legora and Harvey. While much of the recent momentum in the category has been shaped by top-down deployments and broad enterprise mandates, Lucio’s growth in the US has been driven by sustained, ground-level adoption within law firm workflows.
Against this backdrop, the company’s decision to establish its US base in New York signals a more direct engagement with the market, placing its teams in close proximity to the firms where adoption decisions are increasingly being made in practice.
New York was a deliberate choice. It places Lucio inside the densest legal market in the country and within walking distance of the firms shaping how AI gets adopted in everyday practice.
“Lucio was built with the working lawyer in mind, inside the day-to-day of research, drafting, and review, where AI has to prove itself in practice,” said Vasu Aggarwal, Co-Founder, Lucio AI. “Our US customer base has grown faster than we expected, and being in New York puts us in the same room as the firms driving that growth. In a market that’s seeing a lot of attention, we think outcomes will matter more than narratives over time, and that’s where we’re focused. We’re scaling our team across product, GTM, and legal engineering to support that next phase.”
“Every legal AI company went after the same fifty firms first. We get it, that’s where the big contracts are. But there are thousands of mid-size firms across this country doing serious, complex work with none of that infrastructure, and almost nobody is building for them. That’s the gap we’ve been closing. Opening in New York makes that commitment a lot more visible.” adds Darsan Guruvayurappan, Co-Founder, Lucio AI.
Lucio is actively hiring across sales, customer success, marketing, and legal engineering roles based out of the New York office, with plans to grow the US team significantly over the coming year. Open roles are listed at https://www.lucioai.com/luciocareers.
