Mid-Level Tax Associate

Kinney Recruiting is working directly and closely with the Global Chair of the Tax Practice of an international law firm on a search for a tax associate in New York, NY. The ideal candidate should have at least three (3) years of transactional tax experience at a medium or large law firm. Most of the work involves advising family offices, private entities, and high-net-worth individuals on US inbound and outbound tax matters, which we consider very typical US international tax advisory work for private clients. A unique feature of this practice is the ability to participate in US international tax-related public international law and international arbitration. A JD from a nationally recognized US law school and admission to the New York bar is required. An LL.M. in Taxation is helpful, but not required. Due to the nature of public international tax work and the "start and stop" nature of tax advising, the tax practice has no billable requirement for associates. A good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position is $185,000 to $210,000 base salary with year-end bonuses.
