In the Comical Performances Region, we’re looking at comic book and cartoon lawyers, as well as a couple of performances that were wacky enough that they might as well have been submitted by animated characters.
In the 1 v. 8 match-up, we have one the greatest Simpsons characters of all time, Lionel Hutz. You could have a contest just trying to pick the best Hutz line — I’m partial to “Well, he’s had it in for me ever since I kinda ran over his dog… Well, replace the word “kinda” with the word “repeatedly,” and the word “dog” with “son.” Clearly, he’s a strong 1-seed.
But while Hutz uses words, Judge Dredd is that rare lawyer who uses guns. In fact, many of the lawyers in the region have decided that the pen isn’t nearly as mighty as various weapons that can be used to kill people.
