Lawyerly Lairs: Hipsters in the Catskills

We're trying to diversify the coverage here at Lawyerly Lairs. After all, the world does not consist entirely of Park Avenue apartments owned by mega-rich law firm partners. Toward that end, we recently wrote about the housing search of some NYU Law students. Let's leave Manhattan behind and head to upstate New York, where we'll visit the beautiful Catskills house of a law professor and his filmmaker wife....

Alas, Penny’s garden — where perhaps she grows vegetables for pickling, if she is a true Brooklyn hipster — doesn’t look very inviting in the dead of winter:

But the new bluestone patio still looks great, despite the presence of a little snow on the ground:

The property’s website describes the space as “a generous bluestone patio, landscaped with perennials and grasses.” You can appreciate the landscaping more in this summer photo of the patio. (If I were the realtor, I might have used exclusively summer pics in the listing.)

Now let’s stroll around the grounds, until we feel at home….
