Day after day, additional law firms continue to fall in line and raise associate base salaries to match the new $180K scale, a trend that was started three weeks ago by Cravath Swaine & Moore on June 6, 2016. Day after day, we continue to receive complaints from associates at firms that have either refused to budge on compensation or remained silent, perhaps hoping that their associates haven’t learned that they’re still receiving salaries that are woefully below the market scale.
Today, we will show you exactly which firms have failed to make a move with regard to base salaries for associates. This new listing includes each firm’s most recent Am Law ranking, most recent Vault ranking, and most recently reported profits per partner. After almost a month of other firms’ partners spreading the wealth among their associates, if you see that your firm is listed here, then perhaps it’s time to consider a lateral move.
